Build
Raise longhouses, sawmills, mines, mills and farms. More longhouses make room for a population of up to one hundred.

A Norwegian strategy game made by father and son
From Viking chieftains to kings and sea heroes — build your power and shape your own part of Norwegian history.
Battle of Norway
Battle of Norway is a real-time strategy game drawn from Norwegian history. Build a settlement, gather timber, food and gold, raise an army, and face the computer or a friend. Victory comes when you capture the enemy stronghold — or when none of their people remain.
Four civilizations, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Four maps shaped by real Norwegian cities. Behind every map and civilization lies a story — written, illustrated and narrated.
Strategy
Raise longhouses, sawmills, mines, mills and farms. More longhouses make room for a population of up to one hundred.
Workers fell timber, pick berries, tend fields and mine gold. Trade at the market when your resources fall out of balance.
Train spearmen, archers, musketeers, cavalry and knights. Research new techniques, from iron ploughs to hardened steel.
Send your army on the march, order it to defend or hold position. Capture the stronghold and victory is yours.
Civilizations
Eric Bloodaxe
Raw strength and a swift food economy — but no gunpowder weapons and weak walls.
Housecarl — resists arrows and strikes faster as comrades fall.
Peter Wessel Tordenskjold
Long range and a strong gold economy — but vulnerable infantry.
Musketeer — a gunpowder unit with devastating force.
Alexander III of Scotland
Fast infantry and fierce charges — but small, fragile horses.
Highlander — the first strike hits hard, and every kill charges another assault.
Nikolas Arnesson
Strong castles, heavy knights and well-armoured infantry — built at a slower pace.
Knight — a heavily armoured mounted warrior.
Norway
Norway's oldest city. Slottsfjellet and Tunsberghus command the centre while Byfjorden cuts in from the east.
The city among seven mountains. Vågen divides the land, forcing every crossing through narrow passes near Bryggen.
Saint Olav's city by the Nidelva. The river curls around Midtbyen and Nidaros Cathedral; its fords hold the key.
The medieval city of Anslo. Nordmarka provides timber, Akerselva divides the map, and Akershus guards the fjord.

Every map and civilization has its own story. Read about Norway's cities, rulers and conflicts through historic images, maps and sources — or listen in Norwegian or English while the text follows the narrator sentence by sentence. More than five hours of narration in all.
Skirmish
Play one against one over a local network, where games find each other automatically, or online through direct IP. Choose your civilization, chat and signal Ready for battle in the lobby.
A measured pace and room to learn the game.
Balanced resistance that demands a sound economy, defence and military build-up.
Aggressive, efficient and guided by a formidable strategic overview.

Battle of Norway is made by a father and son. The idea was simple: a strategy game where the cities, chieftains and battles are our own. The result became a game to play — and a history to discover.
